Heeding to the call of nature and wear ability, Cole Designs carries
earthy multi-strand necklaces and feathery hair pieces
for a woman looking to get the most out of her accessories.
Cole Designs necklaces strung from precious stones,
pearls and copper chains can be worn as single strands or unhooked
and worn as a bracelet.
The latest Cole Designs creations incorporate coral,
quartz and feathers into earrings and rings, in
addition to colorful hair and hat accessories.
The design process for Cole Designs founder Nicole Wright
is what she calls “unplanned magic.”
Strands of beads and chain form a pile first,
eventually draped and edited until Wright likes the end result.
By not overworking the pieces, Wright keeps her designs
original and fresh.
Looking to save money on Christmas presents years ago,
Wright had decided to make jewelry as gifts to friends and family.
“I was definitely wrong on the money-saving part,” says the designer,
“But I found a love for designing pieces that could last forever.”
Now a veritable business venture, Nicole Wright sells Cole Designs
at the Bamboo Home Store in Grass Valley and at the Local
Collection in the Glendale Galleria in California.
Just like her typical customer who is always on the go,
Wright often hits the road to sell her wares at street fairs and festivals.
The designer is currently working with both a representative and
the Saints of Sirens showroom in California,
with new vendors expected on the horizon.
